Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #245

أَخْبَرَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كَانَ، يَقُولُ :" لِكُلِّ صَلَاتَيْنِ اغْتِسَالَةٌ، وَتُفْرِدُ لِصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ اغْتِسَالَةً "
Wahb bin Saeed told us, on the authority of Shuaib, Al-Awza’i told us, Ataa told me, that Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, used to say: There is an ablution for every two prayers, and one ablution is allocated for the morning prayer.”
