أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ :" النُّفَسَاءُ تَنْتَظِرُ نَحْوًا مِنْ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا "

Amr ibn Aoun informed us, Abu Awanah informed us, on the authority of Abu Bishr, on the authority of Yusuf ibn Mahak, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, He said: “Childbirth waits for about forty days.”
