أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ :" كَانَ يَكُونُ لِإِحْدَانَا الدِّرْعُ فِيهِ تَحِيضُ وَفِيهِ تُجْنِبُ، ثُمَّ تَرَى فِيهِ الْقَطْرَةَ مِنْ دَمِ حَيْضَتِهَا، فَتَقْصَعُهُ بِرِيقِهَا "

Muhammad bin Yusuf told us, Ibn Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Ibn Abi Najih, on the authority of Ata’, on the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, who said: “It was “One of us has a shield in which she menstruates and in which she avoids menstruation, then she sees in it a drop of her menstrual blood, so she smears it with her saliva.”
