Abu Nu`aym told us, Abd al-Rahman bin al-Nu`man Abu al-Nu`man al-Ansari told us, my father told me, on the authority of my grandfather, and my grandfather had come With it, the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, wiped his head and said: “Do not use kohl during the day while you are fasting. Use kohl at night, with antimony. He sharpens sight and makes hair grow.”
