أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الرَّقَاشِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ رَدِيفَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، جَاءَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ خَثْعَمَ، فَقَالَتْ : إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللَّهِ فِي الْحَجِّ عَلَى عِبَادِهِأَدْرَكَتْ أَبِي شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا لَا يَسْتَمْسِكُ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ، وَلَمْ يَحُجَّ، أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهُ، قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ".
سُئِلَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد : تَقُولُ بِهَذَا؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ

A woman from Khath’am came and said: It is an obligatory God is in the Hajj for His servants. I found my father an old man who was not able to stand on his mount and did not perform Hajj. Should I perform Hajj on his behalf? He said: “Yes.”
