Yazid ibn Harun informed us, Shu`bah informed us, on the authority of Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr, on the authority of Rab`i ibn Harash, on the authority of al-Tufayl, my brother Aisha, he said: A man from among the polytheists said to a man from among the Muslims: What an excellent people you are, had you not said: What God wills, and He wills. Mohammed .
So the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, heard it and said: “Do not say: What God willed and Muhammad willed, but rather say: God willed, then Muhammad willed.”
