أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، قالَ : سَمِعْتُ كُرْدُوسًا وَكَانَ قَاصًّا ، يَقُولُ : أَخْبَرَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَدْرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ :" لَأَنْ أَقْعُدَ فِي مِثْلِ هَذَا الْمَجْلِسِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُعْتِقَ أَرْبَعَ رِقَابٍ ".
قَالَ : قُلْتُ : أَنَا : أَيَّ مَجْلِسٍ يَعْنِي؟، قَالَ : كَانَ حِينَئِذٍ يَقُصُّ.
قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ : الرَّجُلُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ بَدْرٍ هُوَ : عَلِيٌّ

Muhammad Ibn Al-Ala informed us, Yahya Ibn Abi Bukayr informed us, on the authority of Shu’bah, on the authority of Abd al-Malik Ibn Maysara, he said: I heard Kurdous He was a storyteller. He said: A man from the people of Badr told me that he heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “Because I sit in something like This assembly is more beloved to me than freeing four slaves.”
He said: I said: I: Which gathering does he mean? He said: He was storytelling at the time.
Abu Muhammad said: The man from the people of Badr is: Ali.
