أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" يُؤْتَى بِالْمَوْتِ بِكَبْشٍ أَغْبَرَ، فَيُوقَفُ بَيْنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ، فَيُقَالُ : يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ، فَيَشْرَئِبُّونَ وَيَنْظُرُونَ، وَيُقَالُ : يَا أَهْلَ النَّارِ، فَيَشْرَئِبُّونَ وَيَنْظُرُونَ، وَيَرَوْنَ أَنْ قَدْ جَاءَ الْفَرَجُ، فَيُذْبَحُ وَيُقَالُ : خُلُودٌ لَا مَوْتَ "

Hajjaj bin Minhal told us, on the authority of Hammad bin Salamah, on the authority of Asim, on the authority of Abu Salih, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. And he said: “Death will be brought with a dusty ram, and it will be stopped between Paradise and Hell, and it will be said: O inhabitants of Paradise.” Then they will drink and wait. And it will be said: O people of Hell, and they will drink and look, and they will see that relief has come. Then they will be slaughtered and it will be said: Eternity, not death.
