أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" دَخَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ، فَقِيلَ : لَا أَنْتِ أَطْعَمْتِيهَا وَسَقَيْتِيهَا، وَلَا أَنْتِ أَرْسَلْتِيهَا فَتَأْكُلَ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ "

Al-Hakam bin Al-Mubarak told us, Malik told us, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: A woman entered Hell with a cat, and it was said: “You did not feed it and give it to drink, nor did you send it to eat from the vermin of the earth.”
