حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ : " أَنَّ رَجُلًا اشْتَرَى عَبْدًا بِتِسْعِ مِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ، فَأَعْتَقَهُ وَلَمْ يَقْضِ ثَمَنَ الْعَبْدِ، وَلَمْ يَتْرُكْ شَيْئًا، فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ :يَسْعَى الْعَبْدُ فِي ثَمَنِهِ "
Abu Al-Walid narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, Qatada narrated to us, on the authority of Al-Hasan: “A man bought a slave for nine hundred dirhams, so he freed him.” He did not pay the price of the slave, nor did he leave anything, so Ali said: The slave will work hard for his price.”
