حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" تَعَلَّمُوا كِتَابَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَتَعَاهَدُوهُ، وَاقْتَنُوهُ وَتَغَنَّوْا بِهِ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، لَهُوَ أَشَدُّ تَفَلُّتًا مِنْ الْمَخَاضِ فِي الْعُقُلِ "

Abdullah bin Saleh told us, he said: Musa told me, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Uqba bin Amir: that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Learn the Book of God Almighty, adhere to it, acquire it, and sing of it. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, it is more escaping than pain in the mind.”
