حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّلِيلِ ، قَالَ : أَصَابَ رَجُلٌ دَمًا، قَالَ : فَأَوَى إِلَى وَادِي مَجَنَّةٍ : وَادٍ لَا يُمْسِي فِيهِ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا أَصَابَتْهُ حَيَّةٌ : وَعَلَى شَفِيرِ الْوَادِي رَاهِبَانِ، قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِصَاحِبِهِ : هَلَكَ وَاللَّهِ الرَّجُلُ، قَالَ :فَافْتَتَحَ سُورَةَ آلِ عِمْرَانَ ، قَالَا : فَقَرَأَ سُورَةً طَيِّبَةً لَعَلَّهُ سَيَنْجُو، قَالَ : فَأَصْبَحَ سَلِيمًا ".
قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد : أَبُو السَّلِيلِ : ضُرَيْبُ بْنُ نُقَيْرٍ، ويقال : ابن نفير

Muhammad bin Saeed told us, Abdul Salam told us, on the authority of Al-Jariri, on the authority of Abu Al-Saleel, he said: A man was afflicted with blood, he said: So he took refuge in a valley A paradise: a valley in which no one enters the evening without being struck by a snake: and at the edge of the valley are two monks, one of them said to his friend: The man has perished, by God. He said: So he opened Surah Al Imran. They said: So he recited a good surah, perhaps he would be saved. He said: Then he became healthy.
Abu Muhammad said: Abu Al-Saleel: Duraib bin Nuqayr, and it is also said: Ibn Nufayr.
