أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ : أَنَّهُ كَانَ" إِذَا قَرَأَ سُورَةً فَخَتَمَهَا، أَتْبَعَهَا بِ : قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ "

Abu Al-Mughirah told us, on the authority of Utbah ibn Damrah ibn Habib, on the authority of his father: “If he recited a surah and concluded it, he would follow it with: Say, “He is God, One.”
