Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #2730

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ ، قَالَ :" إِذَا خَتَمَ الرَّجُلُ الْقُرْآنَ بِنَهَارٍ، صَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ، وَإِنْ فَرَغَ مِنْهُ لَيْلًا، صَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ "
Abu Al-Mughirah narrated to us, Al-Awza’i narrated to us, on the authority of Abdah, who said: “When a man recites the Qur’an during the day, the angels pray over him until in the evening, and if he finishes it at night, the angels pray over him until the morning.”
