حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا قَدِمَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْبَصْرَةَ ، أَتَيْتُهُ أَنَا، وَالْحَسَنُ،" فَقَالَ لِلْحَسَنِ : أَنْتَ الْحَسَنُ؟ مَا كَانَ أَحَدٌ بِالْبَصْرَةِ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ لِقَاءً مِنْكَ، وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّكَ تُفْتِي بِرَأْيِكَ، فَلَا تُفْتِ بِرَأْيِكَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ سُنَّةٌ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَوْ كِتَابٌ مُنْزَلٌ "

Muslim bin Ibrahim narrated to us, Abu Aqeel narrated to us, Saeed Al-Jariri narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Nadra, he said: When Abu Salamah came to Basra “I and Al-Hasan came to him,” so he said to Al-Hasan: “Are you Al-Hasan? There was no one in Basra more beloved to me to meet than you, and that is because I was informed that you Give a fatwa according to your opinion, and do not give a fatwa according to your opinion unless it is a Sunnah from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, or a revealed book.”
