أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ أَبَانَ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ هُوَ ابْنُ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونٍ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ : " يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ،وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ تَكَلَّمْتُ، وَلَوْ وَجَدْتُ بُدًّا مَا تَكَلَّمْتُ، وَإِنَّ زَمَانًا أَكُونُ فِيهِ فَقِيهَ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ زَمَانُ سُوءٍ "

Ismail ibn Aban informed us, Muhammad ibn Talha informed me, on the authority of Maymun Abi Hamza, he said: Ibrahim said to me: “O Abu “Hamza, by God, I have spoken, and if I found a need I would not have spoken, and the time in which I will be the jurist of the people of Kufa will be a bad time.”
