أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ شريك ، عَنْ مُبَارَكٍ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ :" سُنَّتُكُمْ وَاللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ بَيْنَهُمَا : بَيْنَ الْغَالِي وَالْجَافِي، فَاصْبِرُوا عَلَيْهَا رَحِمَكُمْ اللَّهُ، فَإِنَّ أَهْلَ السُّنَّةِ كَانُوا أَقَلَّ النَّاسِ فِيمَا مَضَى، وَهُمْ أَقَلُّ النَّاسِ فِيمَا بَقِيَ : الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَذْهَبُوا مَعَ أَهْلِ الْإِتْرَافِ فِي إِتْرَافِهِمْ، وَلَا مَعَ أَهْلِ الْبِدَعِ فِي بِدَعِهِمْ، وَصَبَرُوا عَلَى سُنَّتِهِمْ حَتَّى لَقُوا رَبَّهُمْ، فَكَذَلِكُمْ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ فَكُونُوا "

Al-Hussein bin Mansour told us, Abu Usama told us, on the authority of Sharik, on the authority of Mubarak, on the authority of Al-Hasan, he said: “Your Sunna, by God who has no god Except it is between them: between the heavy and the hard, so be patient with it, may God have mercy on you, for the Sunnis were the fewest of people in the past, and they are the fewest of people. As for what remains: those who did not go with the people of innovation in their innovation, nor with the people of innovation in their innovations, and were patient in their Sunnah until they met Their Lord, so be it, God willing, so be it.”
