أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ يَذْكُرُ عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ :" تَدَارُسُ الْعِلْمِ سَاعَةً مِنْ اللَّيْلِ، خَيْرٌ مِنْ إِحْيَائِهَا "

Harun bin Muawiya told us, on the authority of Hafs bin Ghayath, who said: I heard Ibn Jurayj mentioning the one who told him, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, He said: “Studying knowledge for an hour at night is better than reviving it.”
