أَخْبَرَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِطَاوُسٍ : إِنَّ فُلَانًا حَدَّثَنِي بِكَذَا وَكَذَا، قَالَ :" فَإِنْ كَانَ صَاحِبُكَ مَلِيًّا، فَخُذْ عَنْهُ "

Marwan bin Muhammad told us, Saeed bin Abdul Aziz told us, on the authority of Suleiman bin Musa, he said: I said to Tawus: So-and-so told me such and such. Likewise, he said: “If your friend is a sinner, then take it on his behalf.”
