أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ رَجَاءٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَبِيدَةَ قِطْعَةَ جِلْدٍ أَكْتُبُ فِيهِ، فَقَالَ : " يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ،لَا تُخَلِّدَنَّ عَنِّي كِتَابًا "، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ ، مِثْلَهُ

Abdullah bin Imran told us, Abu Dawud told us, Shu`bah told us, on the authority of Ismail bin Raja, on the authority of Ibrahim, he said: I asked Ubaida got a piece of leather to write on, and he said: “O Abraham, do not leave a letter about me.” Abdullah told us, Abu Dawud told us, Shu'bah told us, on the authority of Al-Hakam, on the authority of Ibrahim, on the authority of Ubaidah, similar to him.
