أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ :" مَا زَالَ هَذَا الْعِلْمُ عَزِيزًا يَتَلَاقَاهُ الرِّجَالُ حَتَّى وَقَعَ فِي الصُّحُفِ، فَحَمَلَهُ، أَوْ دَخَلَ فِيهِ غَيْرُ أَهْلِهِ "

Abd al-Rahman ibn Salih told us, Ibn al-Mubarak told us, on the authority of al-Awza’i, he said: “This knowledge is still dear to one another. men until it fell into the pages, and someone picked it up, or someone other than its owner entered it.”
