    أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ رَاشِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي فُلَانٌ الْعُرَنِيُّ ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ :" لَا يَدَعُ اللَّهُ الْعِبَادَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ حَتَّى يَسْأَلَهُمْ عَنْ أَرْبَعٍ : عَمَّا أَفْنَوْا فِيهِ أَعْمَارَهُمْ، وَعَمَّا أَبْلَوْا فِيهِ أَجْسَادَهُمْ، وَعَمَّا كَسَبُوا وفِيمَا أَنْفَقُوا، وَعَمَّا عَمِلُوا فِيمَا عَلِمُوا "

    أَخْبَرَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" لَا تَزُولُ قَدَمَا عَبْدٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يُسْأَلَ عَنْ عُمُرِهِ فِيمَا أَفْنَاهُ، وَعَنْ عِلْمِهِ مَا فَعَلَ بِهِ، وَعَنْ مَالِهِ مِنْ أَيْنَ اكْتَسَبَهُ وَفِيمَا أَنْفَقَهُ، وَعَنْ جِسْمِهِ فِيمَا أَبْلَاهُ "
    Aswad bin Amir told us, Abu Bakr told us, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Sa’id bin Abdullah bin Jurayj, on the authority of Abu Barza Al-Islami said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The feet of a servant will not move on the Day of Resurrection until he is asked about his life and how he spent it. And about his knowledge and what he did with it, and about his wealth from where he earned it and on what he spent it, and about his body and how he used it.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا شِهَابُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أُمَيٍّ ، قَالَ : مَشَوْا خَلْفَ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، فَقَالَ :" عَنِّي خَفْقَ نِعَالِكُمْ، فَإِنَّهَا مُفْسِدَةٌ لِقُلُوبِ نَوْكَى الرِّجَالِ "

    أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كَانَ يَمْشِي وَنَاسٌ يَطَئُونَ عَقِبَهُ، فَقَالَ :" لَا تَطَئُوا عَقِبِي، فَوَاللَّهِ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أُغْلِقُ عَلَيْهِ بَابِي، مَا تَبِعَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْكُمْ "
    Yazid bin Harun told us, Ibn Aoun told us, on the authority of Al-Hasan, that Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with him, was walking and people were stepping on his heels. He said: “Do not step on my heels. By God, if you knew what my door was closed on, none of you would have followed me.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ ، قَالَ :" وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي نَجَوْتُ مِنْ عَمَلِي كَفَافًا لَا لِي وَلَا عَلَيَّ "

    أَخْبَرَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ رَجَاءٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا عِنْدَ خَبَّابِ بْنِ الْأَرَتِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، فَاجْتَمَعَ إِلَيْهِ أَصْحَابُهُ وَهُوَ سَاكِتٌ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ : أَلَا تُحَدِّثُ أَصْحَابَكَ؟، قَالَ :" أَخَافُ أَنْ أَقُولَ لَهُمْ مَا لَا أَفْعَلُ "
    Mukhlid bin Malik told us, Yahya bin Saeed told us, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Raja’ Al-Ansari, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Bishr.
