أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ شَابُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى " أَنَّهُرَأَى نَافِعًا مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ، يُمْلِي عِلْمَهُ، وَيُكْتَبُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ "

Al-Walid bin Shuja’ told us, Muhammad bin Shuaib bin Shabur told us, Al-Walid bin Sulayman bin Abi Al-Sa’ib told us, on the authority of Sulayman bin Moses “saw Nafi’, Ibn Umar’s client, dictating his knowledge and writing it down before him.”

أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ الْغَازِ ، قَالَ :" كَانَ يُسْأَلُ عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، وَيُكْتَبُ مَا يُجِيبَ فِيهِ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ "

Al-Walid bin Shuja’ told us, Muhammad bin Shuaib told us, Hisham bin Al-Ghaz told us, he said: “Ata bin Abi Rabah was asked And what he answers about it is written in his hands.”

أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ شَابُورٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ رَجَاءِ بْنِ حَيْوَةَ ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ، قَالَ : كَتَبَ هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ إِلَى عَامِلِهِ أَنْ يَسْأَلَنِي عَنْ حَدِيثٍ، قَالَ رَجَاءٌ :" فَكُنْتُ قَدْ نَسِيتُهُ لَوْلَا أَنَّهُ كَانَ عِنْدِي مَكْتُوبًا "

Al-Walid bin Shuja’ told us, Muhammad bin Shuaib bin Shabur told us, Al-Walid bin Sulayman bin Abi Al-Sa’ib told us, on the authority of Raja’ bin Haywa, that he narrated it. He said: Hisham bin Abdul-Malik wrote to his employee to ask me about a hadith. He said, hopefully: “So I had forgotten it.” “Unless it had been written with me.”

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ أَبَانَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ عَنْتَرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ بِحَدِيثٍ، فَقُلْتُ : أَكْتُبُهُ عَنْكَ؟، قَالَ :" فَرَخَّصَ لِي وَلَمْ يَكَدْ "

Ismail bin Aban informed us, on the authority of Ibn Idris, on the authority of Harun bin Antara, on the authority of his father. Ibn Abbas narrated a hadith to me, so I said: Shall I write it on your behalf? He said: “So he granted me permission and did not hesitate.”

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنَشٍ ، قَالَ :" رَأَيْتُهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ عِنْدَ الْبَرَاءِ بِأَطْرَافِ الْقَصَبِ عَلَى أَكُفِّهِمْ "

Muhammad bin Saeed told us, Waki’ told us, my father told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Hanash, he said: “I saw them writing at Al-Bara’ With the ends of the reed on their palms.”

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا فُضَيْلٌ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدٍ الْمُكْتِبِ ، قَالَ :" رَأَيْتُهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ التَّفْسِيرَ عِنْدَ مُجَاهِدٍ "

Amr ibn Aoun told us, Fudayl told us, on the authority of Ubaid al-Muttab, he said: “I saw them writing interpretations with Mujahid.”

أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل ، حَدَّثَنَا مَنْدَلُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْعَنَزِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ :" كُنْتُ أَجْلِسُ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَأَكْتُبُ فِي الصَّحِيفَةِ حَتَّى تَمْتَلِئَ، ثُمَّ أَقْلِبُ نَعْلَيَّ فَأَكْتُبُ فِي ظُهُورِهِمَا "

Malik bin Ismail told us, Mandal bin Ali Al-Anazi told us, Ja’far bin Abi Al-Mughirah told me, on the authority of Sa’id bin Jubayr, he said: “ I used to sit with Ibn Abbas and write in the newspaper until it was full, then I would turn my sandals around and write on the backs of them.”

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ أَبَانَ ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ الْقُمِّيِّ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ :" كُنْتُ أَكْتُبُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي صَحِيفَةٍ، وَأَكْتُبُ فِي نَعْلَيَّ "

Ismail bin Aban told us, on the authority of Yaqoub al-Qummi, on the authority of Ja`far bin Abi al-Mughirah, on the authority of Sa`id bin Jubayr, he said: “I was writing With Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, on a piece of paper, and I write in my sandals:

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ ، يَقُولُ :" كُنْتُ أَسِيرُ مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي طَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ لَيْلًا، وَكَانَ يُحَدِّثُنِي بِالْحَدِيثِ فَأَكْتُبُهُ فِي وَاسِطَةِ الرَّحْلِ حَتَّى أُصْبِحَ فَأَكْتُبَهُ "

Abu Al-Numan told us, Abdul Wahid told us, Othman bin Hakim told us, he said: I heard Saeed bin Jubayr, saying: “I was walking with Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, was on the road to Mecca at night, and he was telling me the hadith, so I would write it down while traveling until morning and write it down.”

أَخْبَرَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّهُ، قَالَ :" قَيِّدُوا هَذَا الْعِلْمَ بِالْكِتَابِ "

Mukhlid bin Malik told us, Yahya bin Saeed told us, Ibn Jurayj told us, he said: Abdul Malik bin Abdullah bin told me Abu Sufyan Al-Thaqafi, on the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with them both, that he said: “Restrict this knowledge to the Book.”
