أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ ، عَنْ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ :" مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَخْتَلِفُوا، فَإِنَّهُمْ لَوْ اجْتَمَعُوا عَلَى شَيْءٍ، فَتَرَكَهُ رَجُلٌ، تَرَكَ السُّنَّةَ، وَلَوْ اخْتَلَفُوا، فَأَخَذَ رَجُلٌ بِقَوْلِ أَحَدٍ، أَخَذَ بِالسُّنَّةِ "

Yazid told us, on the authority of Al-Masoudi, on the authority of Aoun ibn Abdullah, who said: “I do not like that the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not disagree. If they agreed on something, and a man abandoned it, he abandoned the Sunnah. And if they disagreed, and a man took someone’s statement, he took the Sunnah.”

أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : قِيلَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ رَحِمَهُ الله تَعَالَي : لَوْ جَمَعْتَ النَّاسَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ؟، فَقَالَ :" مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَخْتَلِفُوا، قَالَ : ثُمَّ كَتَبَ إِلَى الْآفَاقِ وَإِلَى الْأَمْصَارِ، لِيَقْضِ كُلُّ قَوْمٍ بِمَا اجْتَمَعَ عَلَيْهِ فُقَهَاؤُهُمْ "

Yazid bin Harun told us, on the authority of Hammad bin Salamah, on the authority of Humaid, who said: It was said to Omar bin Abdul Aziz, may God Almighty have mercy on him: If you gather People on something? He said: “I am not happy that they did not disagree.” He said: Then He wrote to the horizons and to the regions, so that each people might decide according to what they had gathered. Their jurists are upon him.”

أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ :" كُنْتُ أَحْسَبُ بِأَنِّي أَصَبْتُ مِنْ الْعِلْمِ، فَجَالَسْتُ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ، فَكَأَنِّي كُنْتُ فِي شِعْبٍ مِنْ الشِّعَابِ "

Bishr ibn al-Hakam told us, he said: I heard Sufyan, saying: Al-Zuhri said: “I thought that I had acquired knowledge, so I sat with Ubaid By God, it is as if I were in one of the valleys.”

أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا كَهْمَسٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَلِيٌّ :" تَذَاكَرُوا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، وَتَزَاوَرُوا، فَإِنَّكُمْ إِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلُوا يَدْرُسْ "

Othman bin Omar told us, in a whisper, on the authority of Ibn Buraydah, he said: Ali said: “Remember this hadith, and visit one another, for you will If you do not do so, he will study.”

أَخْبَرَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو حَمْزَةَ الثُّمَالِيُّ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ :" غَائِلَةُ الْعِلْمِ النِّسْيَانُ "

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" آفَةُ الْعِلْمِ النِّسْيَانُ، وَإِضَاعَتُهُ أَنْ تُحَدِّثَ بِهِ غَيْرَ أَهْلِهِ "

Abdullah bin Saeed told us, Abu Usama told us, on the authority of Al-A’mash, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The scourge of knowledge Forgetting, and wasting it by telling it to people other than those who deserve it.”

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ طَارِقٍ ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ :" إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ آفَةً، وَآفَةُ الْعِلْمِ النِّسْيَانُ "

Muhammad ibn Yusuf informed us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Tariq, on the authority of Hakim ibn Jabir, who said: Abdullah said: “Indeed, everything has a affliction, and a affliction "knowledge is oblivion"

أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو عُمَيْسٍ ، عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ :" آفَةُ الْحَدِيثِ النِّسْيَانُ "

Ja`far bin Aoun informed us, Abu Umays informed us, on the authority of Al-Qasim, he said: Abdullah, may God be pleased with him, said: “The scourge of hadith is forgetfulness.”

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ :" آفَةُ الْعِلْمِ النِّسْيَانُ، وَتَرْكُ الْمُذَاكَرَةِ "

Muhammad bin Al-Mubarak told us, Al-Walid told us, on the authority of Al-Awza’i, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, he said: “The scourge of knowledge is forgetfulness and abandonment of study.”

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنْ عَوْنٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ لِأَصْحَابِهِ حِينَ قَدِمُوا عَلَيْهِ : هَلْ تَجَالَسُونَ؟، قَالُوا : لَيْسَ نُتْرَكُ ذَاكَ، قَالَ : فَهَلْ تَزَاوَرُونَ؟، قَالُوا : نَعَمْ، يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ مِنَّا لَيَفْقِدُ أَخَاهُ، فَيَمْشِي فِي طَلَبِهِ إِلَى أَقْصَى الْكُوفَةِ حَتَّى يَلْقَاهُ، قَالَ :" فَإِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَزَالُوا بِخَيْرٍ مَا فَعَلْتُمْ ذَلِكَ "

Abu Nu`aym told us, Al-Masoudi told us, on the authority of Aoun, he said: Abdullah, may God be pleased with him, said to his companions when they came to him: Did Do you sit together? They said: We will not leave that one. He said: Do you visit each other? They said: Yes, O Abu Abd al-Rahman. Indeed, a man among us loses his brother. So he walked in search of him to the farthest end of Kufa until he met him. He said: “You will never cease to be well as long as you have done this.”
