  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #1624

    أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : كَانَتْ يَمِينُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الَّتِي يَحْلِفُ بِهَا" لَا وَمُقَلِّبِ الْقُلُوبِ "
    Ubayd Allah ibn Musa told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Musa ibn Uqba, on the authority of Salim, on the authority of Ibn Umar, he said: The right hand of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace May God bless him and grant him peace, by which he swears, “No, by the One who turns hearts.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" يَمِينُكَ عَلَى مَا يُصَدَّ قُكَ بِهِ صَاحِبُكَ "
    Othman bin Muhammad told us, Hushaym told us, Abdullah bin Abi Saleh told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: He said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace: “Your oath is based on what your companion swears by.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ الشَّرِيدِ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقُلْتُ : إِنَّ عَلَى أُمِّي رَقَبَةً، وَإِنَّ عِنْدِي جَارِيَةً سَوْدَاءَ نُوبِيَّةً، أَفَتُجْزِئُ عَنْهَا؟.
    قَالَ : " ادْعُ بِهَا "، فَقَالَ :" أَتَشْهَدِينَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ؟ "، قَالَتْ : نَعَمْ.
    قَالَ : " أَعْتِقْهَا، فَإِنَّهَا مُؤْمِنَةٌ "
    Abu Al-Walid Al-Tayalisi told us, Hammad bin Salama told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Amr, on the authority of Abu Salama, on the authority of Al-Sharid, he said: I came to the Prophet May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, so I said: My mother has a slave, and I have a black Nubian slave girl. Should that be sufficient for her?
    He said: “Pray by it.” He said: “Do you bear witness that there is no god but Allah?” She said: Yes.
    He said: “Free her, for she is a believer.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ،لَا تَسْأَلِ الْإِمَارَةَ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ أُعْطِيتَهَا عَنْ مَسْأَلَةٍ، وُكِلْتَ إِلَيْهَا، وَإِنْ أُعْطِيتَهَا عِنْ غَيْرِ مَسْأَلَةٍ، أُعِنْتَ عَلَيْهَا.
    فَإِذَا حَلَفْتَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَرَأَيْتَ غَيْرَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا، فَكَفِّرْ عَنْ يَمِينِكَ وَأْتِ الَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ ".
    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :.

    فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ الْحَدِيثِ

    أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو هُوَ : ابْنُ مُرَّةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا يُقَالُ لَهُ : عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو زَمَنَ الْجَمَاجِمِ يُحَدِّثُ، قَالَ : سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ عَدِيَّ بْنَ حَاتِمٍ ، فَحَلَفَ أَنْ لَا يُعْطِيَهُ شَيْئًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ : لَوْلَا أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ :" مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ، فَرَأَى غَيْرَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا، فَلْيَأْتِ الَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ، وَلْيُكَفِّرْ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ "
    Abu Al-Walid Al-Tayalisi told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Amr, he is Ibn Murrah, he said: I heard a man called: Abdullah bin Amr, at the time of the skulls, narrates, he said: A man asked Adi bin Hatim, and he swore not to give him anything, then he said: Had I not heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace God, upon him be peace, says: “Whoever swears an oath and sees something else that is better than it, let the one that is better come and atone for his oath.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ ، حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ : "لَا تُقْسِمْ ".
    قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ : الْحَدِيثُ فِيهِ طُولٌ
    Abdullah bin Salih told us, Al-Layth told me, Yunus told me, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Ubayd Allah bin Abdullah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to Abu Bakr: “Do not swear.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ، فَهُوَ بِالْخِيَارِ : إِنْ شَاءَ فَعَلَ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ "
    Hajjaj told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, Ayoub told us, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar: that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said “Whoever takes an oath and then says: God willing, he has the choice: if he wishes, he may do it, and if he wishes, he may not do it.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ، فَقَدِ اسْتَثْنَى "
    Abu Al-Walid Al-Tayalisi told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, on the authority of Ayyub, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. And he said: “Whoever takes an oath and then says: God willing, he will make an exception.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَدْرَكَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ وَهُوَ يَسِيرُ فِي رَكْبٍ، وَهُوَ يَحْلِفُ بِأَبِيه، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَنْهَاكُمْ أَنْ تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ، فَمَنْ كَانَ حَالِفًا، فَلْيَحْلِفْ بِاللَّهِ، أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ "
    Al-Hakam bin Al-Mubarak told us, Malik bin Anas told us, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar: that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, realized Omar ibn al-Khattab was riding along, swearing by his father, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Indeed, God forbids you from “Swear by your fathers; whoever swears, let him swear by God, or keep silent.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ :" إِنَّ النَّذْرَ لَا يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا، وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الشَّحِيحِ "
    Amr bin Aoun told us, Abu Awanah told us, on the authority of Mansour, on the authority of Abdullah bin Murrah, on the authority of Ibn Omar, he said: The Messenger of God said God said: “A vow does not abolish anything, but rather it extracts from what is stingy.”
