  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #1614

    حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي بَقِيَّةَ الْمُعَلِّمِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ إِنْ فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ؟ فَقَالَ :" صَلِّ هَاهُنَا ".
    فَأَعَادَ عَلَيْهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " شَأْنُكَ إِذَنْ "
    Hajjaj bin Minhal narrated to us, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, on the authority of Habib bin Abi Baqiyah Al-Mu’allim, on the authority of Ata’ bin Abi Rabah, on the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah: A man said: O Messenger of God, I vowed that if God granted you victory, I would pray in the Holy House? He said: “Pray here.”
    So he repeated it three times, and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “What about you then?”

    حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الْأَيْلِيِّ ، عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" مَنْ نَذَرَ أَنْ يَطِيعَ اللَّهَ، فَلْيُطِعْهُ، وَمَنْ نَذَرَ أَنْ يَعْصِيَ اللَّهَ، فَلَا يَعْصِهِ "
    Khalid bin Mukhlid told us, Malik told us, on the authority of Talha bin Abdul Malik Al-Ayli, on the authority of Al-Qasim bin Muhammad, on the authority of Aisha, she said : The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever vows to obey God, let him obey Him, and whoever vows to disobey God, let him not disobey Him.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" لَا وَفَاءَ لِنَذْرٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ، وَلَا فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ ابْنُ آدَمَ "
    Abu Nu`aym told us, Hammad bin Zaid told us, on the authority of Ayoub, on the authority of Abu Qalaba, on the authority of Abu Al-Muhallab, on the authority of Imran bin Husayn, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “There is no fulfillment of a vow in disobedience to God, or in what the son of Adam does not possess.”

    حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَدْرَكَ شَيْخًا يَمْشِي بَيْنَ ابْنَيْهِ، فَقَالَ : " مَا شَأْنُ هَذَا الشَّيْخِ؟ "، فَقَالَ ابْنَاهُ : نَذَرَ أَنْ يَمْشِيَ، فَقَالَ :" ارْكَبْ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْكَ وَعَنْ نَذْرِكَ "
    Saeed bin Mansour told us, Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad told us, on the authority of Amr bin Abi Amr, on the authority of Al-Araj, on the authority of Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saw an old man walking between his two sons, and he said: “What is the matter with this sheikh?” Then his sons said: He vowed to walk, so he said “Ride, for God is Free from you and from your vows.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، أَخْبَرَنِي قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَنَّ أُخْتَ عُقْبَةَ نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَمْشِيَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَنِيٌّ عَنْ نَذْرِ أُخْتِكَ، لِتَرْكَبْ وَلْتُهْدِ هَدْيًا "
    Abu Al-Walid Al-Tayalisi told us, Hammam told us, Qatada told me, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas: that Uqba’s sister She vowed to walk home, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Indeed, God is independent of your sister’s vow, so that she may ride and be guided.” “guidance”

    أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الرُّعَيْنِيّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، قالَ : نَذَرَتْ أُخْتِي أَنْ تَحُجَّ لِلَّهِ مَاشِيَةً غَيْرَ مُخْتَمِرَةٍ، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ :" مُرْ أُخْتَكَ فَلْتَخْتَمِرْ، وَلْتَرْكَبْ، وَلْتَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ "
    Ja'far bin Aoun told us, Yahya bin Sa'id told us, on the authority of Ubayd Allah bin Zuhar, on the authority of Abu Sa'id al-Ru'a'ini, on the authority of Abdullah bin Malik, on the authority of Uqba bin Amir Al-Juhani, said: My sister vowed to perform Hajj for God on unleavened cattle, so I mentioned that to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. May God bless him and grant him peace. He said: “Tell your sister to cover herself, ride, and fast for three days.”

    حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ نَذْرًا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ الْإِسْلَامُ؟ قَالَ :" فِ بِنَذْرِكَ "
    Abdullah bin Saeed told us, Hafs told us, Ubayd Allah told us, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Omar, on the authority of Omar, he said: I said: O Messenger By God, I made a vow in pre-Islamic times, then Islam came? He said: “Follow your vow.”

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #1607

    أَخْبَرَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَنَّ امْرَأَةً نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَحُجَّ فَمَاتَتْ، فَجَاءَ أَخُوهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ كَانَ عَلَيْهَا دَيْنٌ أَكُنْتَ قَاضِيَهُ؟ ".
    قَالَ : نَعَمْ.
    قَالَ :" فَاقْضُوا اللَّهَ، فَاللَّهُ أَحَقُّ بِالْوَفَاءِ "
    Sahl bin Hammad told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Abu Bishr, on the authority of Sa’id bin Jubayr, on the authority of Ibn Abbas: that a woman vowed To perform Hajj, then she died. Then her brother came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and asked him about that. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him: “If she had a debt, would you have settled it?”
    He said: Yes.
    He said: “So repay God, for God is more deserving of fulfillment.”
