    وَقَالَ :" كُلُّ شَيْءٍ يَلْهُو بِهِ الرَّجُلُ بَاطِلٌ إِلَّا رَمْيَ الرَّجُلِ بِقَوْسِهِ وَتَأْدِيبَهُ فَرَسَهُ، وَمُلَاعَبَتَهُ أَهْلَهَ، فَإِنَّهُنَّ مِنَ الْحَقِّ "
    He said: “Everything with which a man has fun is invalid, except for a man’s shooting with his bow, his training of his horses, and his playing with his wife, for they are of the truth.”

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #1679

    وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" ارْمُوا وَارْكَبُوا، وَلَأَنْ تَرْمُوا أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ تَرْكَبُوا "

    أَخْبَرَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْأَزْرَقِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" إِنَّ اللَّهَ G يُدْخِلُ الثَّلَاثَةَ بِالسَّهْمِ الْوَاحِدِ الْجَنَّةَ : صَانِعَهُ يَحْتَسِبُ فِي صَنْعَتِهِ الْخَيْرَ، وَالْمُمِدُّ بِهِ، وَالرَّامِيَ بِهِ "
    Wahb bin Jarir told us, Hisham told us, on the authority of Yahya, on the authority of Abu Salam, on the authority of Abdullah bin Zayd Al-Azraq, on the authority of Uqba bin Amer, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Indeed, God admits three people into Paradise with one arrow: its maker is rewarded for his work.” goodness, and the one who supplies it, and the one who throws it.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ : أَنَّهُ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ : # وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ سورة الأنفال آية 60 # أَلَا إِنَّ" الْقُوَّةَ : الرَّمْيُ "

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #1676

    أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ صَعْصَعَةَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : لَقِيتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ وَهُوَ يَسُوقُ جَمَلًا لَهُ، أَوْ يَقُودُهُ، فِي عُنُقِهِ قِرْبَةٌ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ ، مَا مَالُكَ؟.
    قَالَ : لِي عَمَلِي، فَقُلْتُ : مَا مَالُكَ؟.
    قَالَ : لِي عَمَلِي.
    قُلْتُ : حَدِّثْنِي حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ :" مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ أَنْفَقَ زَوْجَيْنِ مِنْ مَالٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا ابْتَدَرَتْهُ حَجَبَةُ الْجَنَّةِ ".
    قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ : هُوَ دِرْهَمَيْنِ أَوْ أَمَتَيْنِ أَوْ عَبْدَيْنِ أَوْ دَابَّتَيْنِ
    Othman bin Omar told us, Hisham told us, on the authority of Al-Hasan, on the authority of Sa’sa’a bin Muawiyah, he said: I met Abu Dharr while he was driving a camel. For him, or leading him, with a skin around his neck, so I said: O Abu Dharr, what is the matter with you?
    He said: I have my work, so I said: What is the matter with you?
    He said: I have my work.
    I said: Tell me a hadith that I heard from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “No Muslim Whoever spends two pairs of money in the cause of God, the veil of Paradise will precipitate it.”
    Abu Muhammad said: It is two dirhams, or two female slaves, or two male slaves, or two animals.

    حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ بِنَاقَةٍ مَخْطُومَةٍ، فَقَالَ هَذِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" لَكَ بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ سَبْعُ مِائَةِ نَاقَةٍ كُلُّهَا مَخْطُومَةٌ "
    Abdullah bin Muhammad told us, Jarir told us, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Abu Amr Al-Shaybani, on the authority of Abu Masoud Al-Ansari, he said: He came A man with a muzzled she-camel, and he said, “This is for the sake of God,” and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “You will get seven hundred for it on the Day of Resurrection.” A she-camel, all muzzled.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيِّ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَائِدَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" رَحِمَ اللَّهُ حَارِسَ الْحَرَسِ ".
    قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : وَعُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ لَمْ يَلْقَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ
    Al-Hakam bin Al-Mubarak told us, Ibn Al-Darawardi told us, on the authority of Salih bin Muhammad bin Zaida, he said: I heard Omar bin Abd Al-Aziz, on the authority of Uqba bin Amir Al-Juhani, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: “May God have mercy on the keeper of the guard.”
    Abdullah said: Omar bin Abdul Aziz did not meet Uqba bin Amir.

    أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ كَثِير ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ شُرَيْحٍ ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي الصَّبَّاحِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُمَيْر ، عَنْ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَيْحَانَةَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزْوَةٍ، فَسَمِعَهُ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ :" حُرِّمَتِ النَّارُ عَلَى عَيْنٍ سَهِرَتْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، وَحُرِّمَتِ النَّارُ عَلَى عَيْنٍ دَمَعَتْ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ ".
    قَالَ : وَقَالَ الثَّالِثَةَ، فَنَسِيتُهَا.
    قَالَ أَبُو شُرَيْحٍ : سَمِعْتُ مَنْ يَقُولُ ذَاكَ " حُرِّمَتِ النَّارُ عَلَى عَيْنٍ غَضَّتْ عَنْ مَحَارِمِ اللَّهِ، أَوْ عَيْنٍ فُقِئَتْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ G "
    Al-Qasim bin Kathir informed us, saying: I heard Abd al-Rahman bin Shurayh, narrating on the authority of Abu al-Sabbah Muhammad bin Shamir, on the authority of Abu Ali al-Hamdani. On the authority of Abu Rayhana, he was with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, on a campaign, and he heard him one night saying: “Fire has been forbidden to a spring.” I stayed up late in the path of God, and the Fire was forbidden to an eye that shed tears from the fear of God.”
    He said: He said the third time, but I forgot it.
    Abu Shurayh said: I heard someone say that: “Fire has been forbidden to an eye that has turned a blind eye to what God has forbidden, or an eye that has been gouged out in the path of God.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَصُومُ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ اللَّهِ، إِلَّا بَاعَدَ اللَّهُ بَيْنَ وَجْهِهِ وَبَيْنَ النَّارِ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا "
    Hajjaj bin Minhal told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, on the authority of Suhail bin Abi Salih, on the authority of Al-Nu’man bin Abi Ayyash, on the authority of Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “There is no servant who fasts a day in the path of God, seeking the face of God, except that God distances his face and between the Fire for seventy days.”

    حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" لَغَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا "
    Muhammad bin Yusuf told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Abu Hazim, on the authority of Sahl bin Saad, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: A morning in the path of God or a pastime in the path of God is better than this world and all that is in it.”
