  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #1670

    أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ شُرَيْحٍ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ : أَنَّ مَالِكَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَرَّ عَلَى حَبِيبِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ أَوْ حَبِيبٌ مَرَّ عَلَى مَالِكٍ وَهُوَ يَقُودُ فَرَسًا وَهُوَ يَمْشِي، فَقَالَ : أَلا تَرْكَبُ حَمَلَكَ اللَّهُ؟ ، فَقَالَ : إِنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" مَنِ اغْبَرَّتْ قَدَمَاهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، حَرَّمَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى النَّارِ "
    Al-Qasim bin Kathir informed us, saying: I heard Abd al-Rahman bin Shurayh narrating, on the authority of Abdullah bin Sulayman: that Malik bin Abdullah passed On Habib bin Maslamah or Habib, he passed by Malik while he was driving a horse while he was walking, and he said: Don’t you ride your lamb, may God bless you? He said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever’s feet become dusty in the path of God, God will consecrate him to the Fire.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" مُقَامُ الرَّجُلِ فِي الصَّفِّ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، أَفْضَلُ مِنْ عِبَادَةِ الرَّجُلِ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً "
    Abdullah bin Salih told us, Yahya bin Ayyub told me, on the authority of Hisham, on the authority of Al-Hasan, on the authority of Imran bin Husayn: That the Messenger of God May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he said: “A man’s standing in line for the sake of God is better than a man’s worship for sixty years.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي ذؤِيبٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَهُمْ جُلُوسٌ، فَقَالَ : " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ النَّاسِ مَنْزِلَةً؟ ".
    قُلْنَا : بَلَى.
    قَالَ :" رَجُلٌ مُمْسِكٌ بِرَأْسِ فَرَسِهِ أَوْ قَالَ فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، حَتَّى يَمُوتَ أَوْ يُقْتَلَ ".
    قَالَ : فَأُخْبِرُكُمْ بِالَّذِي يَلِيهِ؟، فَقُلْنَا : نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ.
    قَالَ : " امْرُؤٌ مُعْتَزِلٌ فِي شِعْبٍ يُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ، وَيَعْتَزِلُ شُرُورَ النَّاسِ ".
    قَالَ : " فَأُخْبِرُكُمْ بِشَرِّ النَّاسِ مَنْزِلَةً؟ "، فَقُلْنَا : نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ.
    قَالَ : " الَّذِي يُسْأَلُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَلَا يُعْطِي بِهِ "
    Asim bin Ali told us, Ibn Abi Dhu’ib told us, on the authority of Sa’id bin Khalid, on the authority of Ismail bin Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Dhu’ib, On the authority of Ata’ bin Yassar, on the authority of Ibn Abbas: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, went out to them while they were sitting, and said: “Shall I not inform you of the best of people?” A status?
    We said: Yes.
    He said: “A man holding the head of his horse, or he said, a horse, for the sake of God, until he dies or is killed.”
    He said: Shall I inform you of what follows? We said: Yes, O Messenger of God.
    He said: “A man who isolates himself among a people. He performs prayer, pays zakat, and keeps away from the evils of people.”
    He said: “Shall I inform you of the worst status among people?” We said: Yes, O Messenger of God.
    He said: “He who asks by God Almighty and does not give by Him.”

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #1667

    أَخْبَرَنَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ ، عَنْ بَحِيرٍ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ يَخَامِرَ ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" مَنْ قَاتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فُوَاقَ نَاقَةٍ، وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ.
    وَهُوَ قَدْرُ مَا تَدُرُّ حَلَبُهَا لِمَنْ حَلَبَهَا "
    Nu'aym bin Hammad told us, Baqiyya told us, on the authority of Buhair, on the authority of Khalid bin Ma'dan, on the authority of Malik bin Yakhamir, on the authority of Muadh bin Jabal, He said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever fights in the cause of God and rears a she-camel, Paradise is guaranteed for him.”
    It is as much as its milk yields for the one who milks it.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟، قَالَ :" إِيمَانٌ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ".
    قَالَ : قِيلَ : ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟.
    قَالَ : " ثُمَّ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ".
    قِيلَ : ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟.
    قَالَ : " ثُمَّ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ "
    Abdullah bin Salih told us, Ibrahim bin Saad told me, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Ibn al-Musayyab, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: He was asked The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace: Which deed is best? He said: “Faith in God and His Messenger.”
    He said: It was said: Then what?
    He said: “Then jihad in the path of God.”
    It was said: Then what?
    He said: “Then an accepted Hajj.”

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #1665

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَيُّ الْجِهَادِ أَفْضَلُ؟.
    قَالَ :" مَنْ عُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ وَأُهْرِيقَ دَمُهُ "
    Muhammad bin Yusuf told us, Malik bin Mughul told us, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Abu Sufyan, on the authority of Jabir, he said: It was said: O Messenger of God, Which jihad is better?
    He said: “Whoever hamstrings his horse and sheds its blood.”

  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #1664

    أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" تَكَفَّلَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ خَرَجَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ لَا يُخْرِجُهُ إِلَّا جِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، وَتَصْدِيقٌ بكَلِمَاتِهِ، أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ، أَوْ يَرُدَّهُ إِلَى مَسْكَنِهِ الَّذِي خَرَجَ مِنْهُ مَعَ مَا نَالَ مِنْ أَجْرٍ أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ "
    Ubayd Allah ibn Musa told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Abu al-Zinad, on the authority of al-Araj, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said And he said: “God has guaranteed that whoever leaves his house, and nothing will bring him out except jihad in the path of God and belief in His words, that He will admit him to Paradise, or He will return him to the dwelling from which he left, along with whatever reward or spoils he obtained.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، قَالَ : " قَعَدْنَا نَفَرٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَتَذَاكَرْنَا، فَقُلْنَا :لَوْ نَعْلَمُ أَيَّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى، لَعَمِلْنَاهُ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى : # سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ سورة الحشر آية 1 # حَتَّى خَتَمَهَا ".
    قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : فَقَرَأَهَا عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى خَتَمَهَا، قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ : فَقَرَأَهَا عَلَيْنَا ابْنُ سَلَامٍ.
    قَالَ يَحْيَى : فَقَرَأَهَا عَلَيْنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، وَقَرَأَهَا عَلَيْنَا يَحْيَى وَقَرَأَهَا عَلَيْنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، وَقَرَأَهَا عَلَيْنَا مُحَمَّدٌ
    Muhammad bin Kathir informed us, on the authority of Al-Awza’i, on the authority of Yahya bin Abi Kathir, on the authority of Abu Salamah, on the authority of Abdullah bin Salam, he said: “ A group of the Companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sat down and we remembered, so we said: If only we knew which deeds are most beloved to God Almighty, We would have done it, so God Almighty revealed: #Glory be to God whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and He is the Mighty, the Wise Surah Al-Hashr, Verse 1 #until He sealed it.”
    Abdullah said: Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, read it to us until he sealed it. Abu Salamah said: Then Ibn Salam read it to us.
    Yahya said: So Abu Salamah recited it to us, and Yahya recited it to us, and Al-Awza’i recited it to us, and Muhammad recited it to us.
