أَخْبَرَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَيُوتِرُ عَلَى الْبَعِيرِ ".
قِيلَ لِأَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ : تَقُولُ بِهِ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ

Marwan bin Muhammad told us, Malik told us, Abu Bakr bin Omar told me, on the authority of Sa’id bin Yasar, on the authority of Ibn Omar, that the Prophet prayed May God bless him and grant him peace. “He used to string a camel.”
It was said to Abu Muhammad: What do you say about him? He said: Yes

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَيُوتِرُ بِثَلَاثٍ : يَقْرَأُ فِي الْأُولَى بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى، وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ بِقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ، وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ بِقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ "

Abdullah bin Saeed narrated to us, Abu Usama narrated to us, he said: Zakaria narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Saeed bin Jubayr, on the authority of Ibn Abbas said: “The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to recite three verses: reciting in the first, ‘Glorify the name of your Lord Most High’, and in the second, saying, ‘O you! The disbelievers, and in the third time, say, “He is God, One.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارُ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو نَضْرَةَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيّ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ سُئِلَ عَنْ الْوِتْرِ، فَقَالَ :" أَوْتِرُوا قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ "

Affan narrated to us, Aban bin Yazid Al-Attar narrated to us, Yahya bin Abi Kathir narrated to me, Abu Nadra narrated to me, that Abu Saeed Al-Khudri told him that the Messenger of God was asked about the Witr prayer, and he said: “Perform the Witr prayer before dawn.”

أَخْبَرَنَا قَبِيصَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ وَثَّابٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ : " فِي كُلِّ اللَّيْلِ قَدْأَوْتَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَانْتَهَى وِتْرُهُ إِلَى السَّحَرِ "

Qabisa told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Abu Husayn, on the authority of Yahya bin Wathhab, on the authority of Masruq, on the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, She said: “All night, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, performed the witr prayer, and his witr prayer ended until dawn.”

أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَيُوتِرُ بِثَلَاثٍ : بِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ "

Malik bin Ismail told us, Israel told us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Sa`id bin Jubayr, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: “The Prophet prayed May God bless him and grant him peace. It is recited with three words: “Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, and say, ‘O disbelievers,’ and say, ‘He is God, One.’”

أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يُصَلِّي مَا بَيْنَ الْعِشَاءِ إِلَى الْفَجْرِ إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً، يُسَلِّمُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَيُوتِرُ بِوَاحِدَةٍ "

Yazid bin Harun told us, on the authority of Ibn Abi Dhib, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Urwa, on the authority of Aisha, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was “He should pray eleven rak’ahs from the evening prayer until dawn, saying the salaam in every two rak’ahs, and praying the Witr prayer with one.”

أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ، فَقَالَ :" مَثْنَى مَثْنَى، فَإِذَا خَشِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ الصُّبْحَ، فَلْيُصَلِّ رَكْعَةً وَاحِدَةً تُوتِرُ، مَا قَدْ صَلَّى ".
قِيلَ لِأَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ : تَأْخُذُ بِهِ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ

Khalid bin Mukhlid told us, Malik told us, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar, he said: A man asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, about The night prayer, and he said: “Two by two, so if one of you fears the morning prayer, let him pray one rak’ah of Witr, as long as he has prayed.”
It was said to Abu Muhammad: Do you take him? He said: Yes

أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" أَوْتِرْ بِخَمْسٍ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ فَبِثَلَاثٍ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ، فَبِوَاحِدَةٍ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ فَأَوْمِئْ إِيمَاءً ".
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، نَحْوَهُ

Yazid bin Harun told us, Sufyan bin Husayn told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Ata’ bin Yazid Al-Laythi, on the authority of Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari, may God be pleased with him, said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to me: “Put the Witr prayer with five, and if you are not able, then with three. If you are able, then with one, and if you are not able, then nod.”
Muhammad bin Yusuf informed us, on the authority of Al-Awza’i, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Ata’ bin Yazid Al-Laythi, on the authority of Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari, may God be pleased with him. On his authority, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and the like

أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهَا، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَتْصَلَاتُهُ مِنْ اللَّيْلِ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً، يُوتِرُ مِنْهَا بِخَمْسٍ، لَا يَجْلِسُ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ الْخَمْسِ حَتَّى يَجْلِسَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ، فَيُسَلِّمَ "

Ja'far bin Aoun told us, Hisham told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, His prayers during the night were thirteen rak’ahs, of which he prayed the Witr prayer with five, and he did not sit in any of the five until he sat in the afterlife and said the salutation.”

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ هِقْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " إِنَّاللَّهَ وِتْرٌ يُحِبُّ الْوِتْرَ "

Al-Hakam bin Musa told us, on the authority of Haql bin Ziyad, on the authority of Hisham, on the authority of Ibn Sirin, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. And he said: “Indeed, God is a string and loves string.”
