Yazid bin Harun told us, Yahya bin Saeed Al-Ansari told us, that Muhammad bin Yahya bin Hibban told him, that Ibn Muhayriz Al-Qurashi, then Al-Jumahi told him, and he lived in the Levant, and Muawiyah had realized that Al-Mukhdajji was a man from the Banu Kinanah. He told him that a man from the Levant, with whom he was a companion, nicknamed Abu Muhammad, told him that the Witr prayer is obligatory, so Al-Mukhadji set off to worship him. Ibn al-Samit mentioned that to him.
Ubadah said: Abu Muhammad lied. I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “Five prayers that God has prescribed for His servants, whoever follows them.” With them, he did not lose anything of their rights by belittling their rights. He had a covenant with God that He would admit him to Paradise, and whoever did not bring them, he came and was not He has a covenant with God that if He wills, He will punish him, and if He wills, He will admit him to Paradise.”
