أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ فَارِسٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ الْمُؤَذِّنِ، أَنَّ " سَعْدًا كَانَ يُؤَذِّنُ فِي مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "، قَالَ حَفْصٌ : حَدَّثَنِي أَهْلِي ، أَنَّ بِلَالًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُؤْذِنُهُ لِصَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ، فَقَالُوا : إِنَّهُ نَائِمٌ،" فَنَادَى بِلَالٌ بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ : الصَّلَاةُ خَيْرٌ مِنْ النَّوْمِ، فَأُقِرَّتْ فِي أَذَانِ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ ".
قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد : يُقَالُ : سَعْدٌ الْقَرَظُ

Then Bilal called out at the top of his voice: Prayer is better than sleep, so it was confirmed in the call to prayer for the Fajr prayer.
Abu Muhammad said: It is said: Saad Al-Qardh

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُمَا، وَعَنْ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُؤَذِّنَانِ : بِلَالٌ وَابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّبِلَالًا يُؤَذِّنُ بِلَيْلٍ، فَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى تَسْمَعُوا أَذَانَ ابْنِ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ ".
فَقَالَ الْقَاسِمُ : وَمَا كَانَ بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَنْزِلَ هَذَا، وَيَرْقَى هَذَا

Ishaq told us, Abdah told us, Ubayd Allah told us, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar, may God be pleased with them both, and on the authority of Al-Qasim, on the authority of Aisha said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, had two muezzins: Bilal and Ibn Umm Maktoum, so the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “There is good news.” He announces the call to prayer at night, so eat and drink until you hear the call to prayer of Ibn Umm Maktum.”
Al-Qasim said: There was nothing between them except that this man descend and this man ascend.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، يَرْفَعُهُ قَالَ : " إِنَّبِلَالًا يُؤَذِّنُ بِلَيْلٍ، فَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى يُؤَذِّنَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ "

Muhammad bin Yusuf told us, Ibn Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Salim, on the authority of his father, he narrates it, saying: “It is a rain that announces the night. So eat and drink until Ibn Umm Maktum gives the call to prayer.”

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحاقَ، قَالَ : وَقَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ قَدِمَهَا قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد : يَعْنِي الْمَدِينَةَ إِنَّمَا يُجْتَمَعُ إِلَيْهِ بِالصَّلَاةِ لِحِينِ مَوَاقِيتِهَا بِغَيْرِ دَعْوَةٍ، فَهَمَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَ بُوقًا كَبُوقِ الْيَهُودِ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ بِهِ لِصَلَاتِهِمْ، ثُمَّ كَرِهَهُ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِالنَّاقُوسِ فَنُحِتَ لِيُضْرَبَ بِهِ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ، فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ إِذْرَأَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ، أَخُو الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ، فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّهُ طَافَ بِيَ اللَّيْلَةَ طَائِفٌ : مَرَّ بِي رَجُلٌ عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَانِ أَخْضَرَانِ يَحْمِلُ نَاقُوسًا فِي يَدِهِ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ، أَتَبِيعُ هَذَا النَّاقُوسَ؟ فَقَالَ : وَمَا تَصْنَعُ بِهِ؟ قُلْتُ : نَدْعُو بِهِ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ.
قَالَ : أَفَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى خَيْرٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ؟ قُلْتُ : وَمَا هُوَ؟ قَالَ : تَقُولُ : اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ، حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ، حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ، حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ.
ثُمَّ اسْتَأْخَرَ غَيْرَ كَثِيرٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ، وَجَعَلَهَا وِتْرًا إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : قَدْ قَامَتْ الصَّلَاةُ، قَدْ قَامَتْ الصَّلَاةُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ.
فَلَمَّا خُبِّرَ بِهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " إِنَّهَا لَرُؤْيَا حَقٌّ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ، فَقُمْ مَعَ بِلَالٍ فَأَلْقِهَا عَلَيْهِ، فَإِنَّهُ أَنْدَى صَوْتًا مِنْكَ.
فَلَمَّا أَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ، سَمِعَهَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، فَقَالَ : وَهُوَ فِي بَيْتِهِ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ، وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ مِثْلَ مَا رَأَى.
فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ، فَذَاكَ أَثْبَتُ ".
قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ : حَدَّثَنِيهِ سَلَمَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِيهِ مًحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالنَّاقُوسِ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

Muhammad bin Humayd told us, Salamah told us, Muhammad bin Ishaq told me, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was when he presented it. Abu Muhammad: meaning Medina. People gather there for prayer until its time, without an invitation. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, understood that He made a trumpet like the trumpet of the Jews who used it to call for their prayer, then he disliked it, then he ordered the bell to be carved to be sounded with it for the Muslims to pray. While they were doing that, Abdullah bin Zaid bin Abdul Rabbo, the brother of Al-Harith bin Al-Khazraj, came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He greeted me, and he said: O Messenger of God, a man walked around me tonight: A man wearing two green clothes passed by me, carrying a gong in his hand, so I said: O Abdullah, do you sell this bell? He said: What do you do with it? I said: We call him to prayer.
He said: Shall I not guide you to something better than that? I said: What is it? He said: You say: God is the greatest, God is the greatest, God is the greatest, God is the greatest, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, hail to prayer, hail to prayer, hail to success, hail to success, God The greatest, God is the greatest, there is no god but God.
Then he delayed it for quite a while, then he said the same as what he said, and he made it odd except that he said: The prayer has begun, the prayer has begun, God is Great, God is great, there is no god but God.
When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was informed of it, he said: “It is a true vision, God willing, so stand with Bilal and cast it on him. The sweetest voice from you.
When Bilal gave the call to prayer, Omar bin Al-Khattab heard it and said: While he was in his house, he went out to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he was dragging his garment. And he says: O Prophet of God, by the One who sent you with the truth, I have seen the like of what he saw.
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Praise be to God, for that is proven.”
Muhammad bin Humaid said: Salamah narrated to me, he said: Muhammad bin Ishaq narrated to me, he said: This hadith was narrated to me by Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin Al-Harith Al-Taymi, on the authority of Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Zaid bin Abdul Rabbo, on the authority of his father, with this hadith.
Muhammad bin Yahya told us, Yaqoub bin Ibrahim bin Saad told us, he said: My father told us, on the authority of Ibn Ishaq, Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin Al-Harith Al-Taymi, on the authority of Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Zaid bin Abdul Rabbuh, Abu Abdullah bin Zaid told me, he said: When The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ordered the bell to be sounded, and he mentioned something similar to it.

قَالَ عُرْوَةُ : وَلَقَدْ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ" يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ فِي حُجْرَتِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَظْهَرَ "

Urwa said: Aisha told me that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to pray the afternoon prayer while the sun was in her room before appear

أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ أَخَّرَ الصَّلَاةَ يَوْمًا، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ أَخَّرَ الصَّلَاةَ يَوْمًا، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، فَقَالَ : مَا هَذَا يَا مُغِيرَةُ؟ أَلَيْسَ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ نَزَلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،فَصَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى، فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى، فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " بِهَذَا أُمِرْتَ ".
قَالَ : اعْلَمْ مَا تُحَدِّثُ يَا عُرْوَةُ، أَوَ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ أَقَامَ وَقْتَ الصَّلَاةِ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ : كَذَلِكَ كَانَ بَشِيرُ بْنُ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ

Ubayd Allah ibn Abd al-Majid al-Hanafi told us, Malik told us, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, that Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz delayed the prayer one day, Then Urwa bin Al-Zubayr came to him and told him that Al-Mughirah bin Shu’bah had delayed the prayer one day, so Abu Masoud Al-Ansari entered upon him. أَخْبَرَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمَا قَالَ : سَأَلْنَا جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُمَا فِي زَمَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ وَكَانَ يُؤَخِّرُ الصَّلَاةَ عَنْ وَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ، فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ حِينَ تَزُولُ الشَّمْسُ، وَالْعَصْرَ وَهِيَ حَيَّةٌ أَوْ نَقِيَّةٌ، وَالْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ تَجِبُ الشَّمْسُ، وَالْعِشَاءَ رُبَّمَا عَجَّلَ وَرُبَّمَا أَخَّرَ : إِذَا اجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ عَجَّلَ، وَإِذَا تَأَخَّرُوا، أَخَّرَ، وَالصُّبْحَ رُبَّمَا كَانُوا أَوْ كَانَ يُصَلِّيهَا بِغَلَسٍ "

Hashim bin Al-Qasim told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Saad bin Ibrahim, he said: I heard Muhammad bin Amr bin Al-Hasan bin Ali Radwan May God be upon them. He said: We asked Jabir bin Abdullah, may God be pleased with them, during the time of the pilgrims, and he used to delay the prayer from the time of the prayer. Jabir said: It was The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, “would pray the noon prayer when the sun had set, the afternoon prayer when it was alive or pure, the sunset prayer when the sun had set, and the evening prayer.” He may hastened it and sometimes he delayed it: if the people gathered, he hurried it, and if they delayed, he delayed it, and perhaps they or he would pray it in the morning prayer with a deep voice.”

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ :" أَرَأَيْتُمْ لَوْ أَنَّ نَهَرًا بِبَاب : أَحَدِكُمْ يَغْتَسِلُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ، مَاذَا تَقُولُونَ ذَلِكَ مُبْقِيًا مِنْ دَرَنِهِ؟ " قَالُوا : لَا يُبْقِي مِنْ دَرَنِهِ.
قَالَ : " كَذَلِكَ مَثَلُ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسِ، يَمْحُو اللَّهُ بِهِنَّ الْخَطَايَا ".
قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عِنْدِي أَصَحُّ

Abdullah bin Salih told us, Al-Layth told me, Yazid bin Abdullah told me, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ibrahim, on the authority of Abu Salamah, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, said that he heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say: “Have you seen that if there was a river at a gate: one of you would bathe every… Five times a day. What do you say? He left any dirt on him. They said: He does not leave any dirt on him.
He said: “Likewise the five daily prayers, through which God erases sins.”
Abdullah said: The hadith of Abu Hurairah, in my view, is more authentic.

أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" مَثَلُ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْمَكْتُوبَاتِ، كَمَثَلِ نَهْرٍ جَارٍ عَذْبٍ عَلَى بَاب أَحَدِكُمْ، يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ "

Ya’la bin Ubaid told us, Al-A’mash told us, on the authority of Abu Sufyan, on the authority of Jabir, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said And he said: “The example of the written prayers is like a fresh, flowing river at the door of one of you, in which he bathes five times every day.”
