Abu Al-Yaman Al-Hakam bin Nafi told us, Shuaib told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, Urwa bin Al-Zubayr told me, on the authority of Abu Humaid Al-Ansari, then Al-Saadi, that he told him that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, employed a worker to give charity, so the worker came to him when he finished his work. He said: O Messenger of God, this is yours, and this was given to me as a gift.
Then the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Will you not sit in the house of your father and mother and see whether gifts are given to you or not?” Then the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, rose. On the evening after the prayer on the pulpit, he testified and praised God as He deserves it, then he said: “As for the worker’s urine, we will use him.” Then he comes to us and says: This is your work and this was given to me as a gift? ! So wouldn't he stay in his father's and mother's house and see if gifts would be given to him or not? By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, none of you will spoil any of it unless he comes on the Day of Resurrection carrying it on his neck: if it is a camel, he will bring it to him. “Raghaa’, and if it is a cow, it brings with it a bleating, and if it is a sheep, it brings with it a yelp, then I have conveyed the message.”
Abu Humaid said: Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, raised his hands so that we could look at the chastity of his armpits.
Abu Humaid said: I heard that from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, Zaid bin Thabit, so they asked him.

Abu Nu`aym told us, Hisham bin Saad told us, on the authority of Zayd bin Aslam, on the authority of his father, he said, I heard Omar, he said: The Messenger of God commanded us May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, we asked him to give alms, and that amounted to money I had, so I said: Today I will outpace Abu Bakr if I ever outpaced him.
He said: I brought half of my money, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “What have you left for your family?” I said: The same. He said: Then Abu Bakr came. With everything he had, he said: “O Abu Bakr, what have you left for your family?”
He said: I have left for them God and His Messenger.
So I said: I will never race with you in anything.

Ya'la and Ahmad ibn Khalid informed us, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ishaq, on the authority of Asim ibn Umar ibn Qatada, on the authority of Mahmoud ibn Labid, on the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah said: While we were with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, a man came with something like an egg made of gold. In some of the battles, Ahmad said: In some of the minerals, and he is correct, so he said: O Messenger of God, take it from me as charity, for by God I have no wealth other than it. So he turned away from it, then he came to him from his left corner, and said like that, then he came to him from in front of him, and he said like that, then he said: “Give it away,” he said, getting angry, and he deleted it with it, saying, “If he had hurt him, it would have caused him pain or disfigured him.” Then, he said, “One of you goes after his money and no one else owns it.” So he gives it in charity, then he sits begging people. Charity comes from the back of wealth. Take what you have, we have no need of it.”
So the man took his money and left.
Abu Muhammad said: Malik used to say: If a man gives his money to the poor, he gives a third of his money in charity.
