أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" لَا يَزَالُ النَّاسُ بِخَيْرٍ مَا عَجَّلُوا الْفِطْرَ "

Muhammad ibn Yusuf informed us, on the authority of Sufyan al-Thawri, on the authority of Abu Hazim, on the authority of Sahl ibn Sa`d, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “People will remain well as long as they hasten to break the fast.”

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ شُرَحْبِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" مَنْ لَمْ يُبَيِّتْ الصِّيَامَ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ، فَلَا صِيَامَ لَهُ ".
قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : فِي فَرْضِ الْوَاجِبِ أَقُولُ بِهِ

Saeed bin Shurahbil told us, Laith bin Saad told us, on the authority of Yahya bin Ayyub, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abi Bakr, on the authority of Salim bin Abdullah bin Omar, on the authority of Ibn Omar, on the authority of Hafsa, on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: “Whoever does not spend the night fasting before dawn, there is no fasting for it.”
Abdullah said: Regarding the obligatory obligation, I say so.

حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُلَيٍّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ مَوْلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، قَالَ : كَانَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ يَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نَصْنَعَ لَهُ الطَّعَامَ يَتَسَحَّرُ بِهِ فَلَا يُصِيبُ مِنْهُ كَثِيرًا، فَقُلْنَا : تَأْمُرُنَا بِهِ وَلَا تُصِيبُ مِنْهُ كَثِيرًا؟ قَالَ : إِنِّي لَا آمُرُكُمْ بِهِ أَنِّي أَشْتَهِيهِ، وَلَكِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ :" فَصْلُ مَا بَيْنَ صِيَامِنَا وَصِيَامِ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ أَكْلَةُ السَّحَرِ "

Wahb bin Jarir told us, Musa bin Ali told us, he said: I heard my father speaking, on the authority of Abu Qais, the client of Amr bin Al-Aas, he said: Amr was Ibn Al-Aas orders us to prepare food for him so that he can use it as a suhoor, but he does not get a lot of it. So we said: You order us to do it and he does not get a lot of it? He said: I am not ordering you to do it because I desire it, but I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “Separate the period between our fasting and the fasting of the people of “The Book is devouring magic.”

أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" تَسَحَّرُوا فَإِنَّ فِي السُّحُورِ بَرَكَةً "

Saeed bin Amir told us, on the authority of Shu’bah, on the authority of Abd al-Aziz bin Suhayb, on the authority of Anas, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Eat the suhoor meal, for there is a blessing in the suhoor meal.”

أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ :" تَسَحَّرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ.
قَالَ : قُلْتُ : كَمْ كَانَ بَيْنَ الْأَذَانِ وَالسُّحُورِ؟ قَالَ : قَدْرُ قِرَاءَةِ خَمْسِينَ آيَةً "

Muslim bin Ibrahim told us, Hisham told us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Anas, on the authority of Zayd bin Thabit, he said: “We had suhoor with the Messenger of God. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He said: Then he stood up to pray.
He said: I said: How long was it between the call to prayer and suhoor? He said: The amount of recitation of fifty verses.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، لَقَدْ جَعَلْتُ تَحْتَ وِسَادَتِي خَيْطًا أَبْيَضَ وَخَيْطًا أَسْوَدَ، فَمَا تَبَيَّنَ لِي شَيْءٌ.
قَالَ : " إِنَّكَ لَعَرِيضُ الْوِسَادِ، وَإِنَّمَاذَلِكَ اللَّيْلُ مِنْ النَّهَارِ فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى : # وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الْخَيْطِ الأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ أَتِمُّوا الصِّيَامَ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ وَلا تُبَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنْتُمْ عَاكِفُونَ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ فَلا تَقْرَبُوهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ آيَاتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ سورة البقرة آية 187 # "

He said: “Indeed, you are as wide as a pillow, but that is night from day in the Almighty’s saying: #And eat and drink until the white thread of The black thread of dawn, then complete the fast until the night, and do not associate with them while you are secluded in the mosques. These are the limits of God, so do not approach them. Thus does God make clear His signs to the people that they may fear Allah, Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 187 # “

أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ أَصْحَابُ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ الرَّجُلُ صَائِمًا فَحَضَرَ الْإِفْطَارُ، فَنَامَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُفْطِرَ لَمْ يَأْكُلْ لَيْلَتَهُ وَلَا يَوْمَهُ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ، وَإِنَّ قَيْسَ بْنَ صِرْمَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ كَانَ صَائِمًا، فَلَمَّا حَضَرَ الْإِفْطَارُ، أَتَى امْرَأَتَهُ، فَقَالَ : عِنْدَكِ طَعَامٌ؟ فَقَالَتْ : لَا، وَلَكِنْ أَنْطَلِقُ فَأَطْلُبُ لَكَ، وَكَانَ يَوْمَهُ يَعْمَلُ، فَغَلَبَتْهُ عَيْنُهُ، وَجَاءَتْ امْرَأَتُهُ، فَلَمَّا رَأَتْهُ، قَالَتْ : خَيْبَةً لَكَ.
فَلَمَّا انْتَصَفَ النَّهَارُ، غُشِيَ عَلَيْهِ فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،" فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ : # أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةَ الصِّيَامِ الرَّفَثُ إِلَى نِسَائِكُمْ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَهُنَّ عَلِمَ اللَّهُ أَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَخْتَانُونَ أَنْفُسَكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَفَا عَنْكُمْ فَالآنَ بَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَابْتَغُوا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الْخَيْطِ الأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ أَتِمُّوا الصِّيَامَ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ وَلا تُبَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنْتُمْ عَاكِفُونَ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ فَلا تَقْرَبُوهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ آيَاتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ سورة البقرة آية 187 #، فَفَرِحُوا بِهَا فَرَحًا شَدِيدًا، وَأَكُلُوا وَاشَرِبُوا حَتَّى تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ الْخَيْطُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنْ الْخَيْطِ الْأَسْوَدِ "

Ubayd Allah ibn Musa told us, on the authority of Israel, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Al-Baraa’, he said: The companions of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, were The man was fasting and prepared to break his fast. He slept before breaking his fast and did not eat all night or day until evening. And Qais bin Sarmah Al-Ansari He was fasting, so when he prepared breakfast, he came to his wife and said: Do you have food? She said: No, but go, and I will seek for you. And he was working that day, and his eyes were overcome by him, and his wife came, and when she saw him, she said: A disappointment to you.
When the middle of the day came, he fainted, so he mentioned that to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. Then this verse was revealed: “It is lawful for you to have sexual intercourse on the night of fasting.” To your women: They are clothing for you, and you are clothing for them. God knows that you used to circumcise yourselves, but He turned to you and pardoned you, so now Associate with them and seek what God has ordained for you, and eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread, then complete Fasting until night, and do not associate with them while you are secluded in the mosques. These are the limits of God, so do not approach them. Thus God makes clear His signs to the people that they may They feared Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 187 #, so they rejoiced therein exceedingly, and they ate and drank until the white thread became distinct to them from the black thread.”

حَدَّثَنِي عِصْمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْجُعْفِيُّ ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ : جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَقَالَ : إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ الْهِلَالَ.
فَقَالَ : " أَتَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ؟ " قَالَ : نَعَمْ.
قَالَ : " يَا بِلَالُ،نَادِ فِي النَّاسِ، فَلْيَصُومُوا غَدًا "

Isma bin Al-Fadl narrated to me, Husayn Al-Ju’fi narrated to me, on the authority of Zaida, on the authority of Simmak, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him. About them, he said: A Bedouin came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: I saw the crescent.
He said: “Do you bear witness that there is no god but God, and that I am the Messenger of God?” He said: Yes.
He said: “O Bilal, call upon the people, so that they may fast tomorrow.”

حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُ، قَالَ : تَرَاءَى النَّاسُ الْهِلَالَ، فَأَخْبَرْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنِّي رَأَيْتُهُ، " فَصَامَوَأَمَرَ النَّاسَ بِالصِّيَامِ "

Marwan bin Muhammad told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Wahb, on the authority of Yahya bin Salem, on the authority of Abu Bakr bin Nafi’, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Ibn Umar, may God be pleased with him, said: The people saw the crescent, so I informed the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, that I had seen it. So he fasted and ordered the people. “By fasting.”

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّمَاالشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ، فَلَا تَصُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ، وَلَا تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ، فَاقْدُرُوا لَهُ "

Suleiman bin Harb told us, Hammad bin Zaid told us, on the authority of Ayyub, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar, may God be pleased with them both, he said: The Messenger of God said: May God’s prayers and peace be upon him: “The month is only twenty-nine, so do not fast until you see it, and do not break your fast until you see it. If it is cloudy for you, then prepare for it.”
