  • Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #1323

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ الْمَدَنِيِّ ، عَنْ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يَأْكُلُ بِثَلَاثِ أَصَابِعَ، وَلَا يَمْسَحُ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَهَا "
    Muhammad bin Issa told us, Abu Muawiyah told us, on the authority of Hisham bin Urwa, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Saad al-Madani, on the authority of Ibn Ka’b bin Malik, on the authority of his father, said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, “used to eat with three fingers, and would not wipe his hand until he licked it.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، قَالَ : أَبْصَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بُسْرَ بْنَ رَاعِي الْعِيرِ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ، فَقَالَ :" كُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ ".
    قَالَ : لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ، قَالَ : " لَا اسْتَطَعْتَ ".
    قَالَ : فَمَا وَصَلَتْ يَمِينُهُ إِلَى فِيهِ
    Abu Al-Walid Al-Tayalisi told us, Ikrimah bin Ammar told us, he said: Iyas bin Salamah told me, he said: My father told me, he said: He saw. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saw Busr bin a camel herder eating with his left hand, so he said: “Eat with your right hand.”
    He said: I cannot. He said: No, you cannot.
    He said: Then his right hand did not reach his mouth.

    أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلَّي الْحَنَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ، فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِيَمِينِهِ، وَلْيَشْرَبْ بِيَمِينِهِ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ وَيَشْرَبُ بِشِمَالِهِ ".
    أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، بِنَحْوِهِ
    Abu Ali al-Hanafi told us, Malik told us, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Abu Bakr bin Ubayd Allah bin Abdullah bin Omar, on the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “When one of you eats, let him eat with his right hand, and let him drink with his right hand. Satan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ مَعْقِلُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ يَتَغَدَّى، فَسَقَطَتْ لُقْمَتُهُ، فَأَخَذَهَا فَأَمَاطَ مَا بِهَا مِنْ أَذًى، ثُمَّ أَكَلَهَا، قَالَ : فَجَعَلَ أُولَئِكَ الدَّهَاقِينُ يَتَغَامَزُونَ بِهِ، فَقَالُوا لَهُ : مَا تَرَى مَا يَقُولُ هَؤُلَاءِ الْأَعَاجِمُ، يَقُولُونَ : انْظُرُوا إِلَى مَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنْ الطَّعَامِ، وَإِلَى مَا يَصْنَعُ بِهَذِهِ اللُّقْمَةِ؟ فَقَالَ : إِنِّي لَمْ أَكُنْ أَدَعُ مَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَوْلِ هَؤُلَاءِ الْأَعَاجِمِ، " إِنَّا كُنَّانُؤْمَرُ إِذَا سَقَطَتْ لُقْمَةُ أَحَدِنَا أَنْ يُمِيطَ مَا بِهَا مِنْ الْأَذَى، وَأَنْ يَأْكُلَهَا "
    Zakaria bin Adi told us, Yazid bin Zurayi told us, on the authority of Yunus, on the authority of Al-Hasan, he said: Maqil bin Yasar was having lunch, and it fell. He said: I would not accept what I heard from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, in the words of these non-Arabs, “We will be commanded when it falls.” “A morsel of one of us is to remove any harm in it, or to eat it.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" إِذَا سَقَطَتْ لُقْمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ، فَلْيَمْسَحْ عَنْهَا التُّرَابَ، وَلْيُسَمِّ اللَّهَ، وَلْيَأْكُلْهَا "
    Ishaq bin Isa told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, on the authority of Thabit, on the authority of Anas, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If “If a morsel of one of you falls, let him wipe the dirt from it, say the name of God, and eat it.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ الْبَرَّاءُ وَهُوَ : مُعَلَّى بْنُ رَاشِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي جَدَّتِي أُمُّ عَاصِمٍ ، قَالَتْ : دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا نُبَيْشَةُ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ نَأْكُلُ طَعَامًا، فَدَعَوْنَاهُ، فَأَكَلَ مَعَنَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ :" مَنْ أَكَلَ فِي قَصْعَةٍ ثُمَّ لَحِسَهَا، اسْتَغْفَرَتْ لَهُ الْقَصْعَةُ "
    Yazid bin Harun told us, Abu Al-Yaman Al-Baraa’, who is Mu’la bin Rashid, told us: My grandmother, Umm Asim, told me: Nubaysha, the servant of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to us while we were eating food. We invited him, and he ate with us. Then he said: The Messenger of God spoke to us. God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever eats from a bowl and then licks it, the bowl will ask forgiveness for him.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :" إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ، فَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَ أَصَابِعَهُ أَوْ يُلْعِقَهَا "
    Amr bin Aoun told us, Ibn Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Amr bin Dinar, on the authority of Ata’, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him And he said: “When one of you eats, he should not wipe his hand until he licks his fingers or licks them.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي حُرَّةَ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ سَنَّةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" الطَّاعِمُ الشَّاكِرُ كَالصَّائِمِ الصَّابِرِ "
    Nuaym bin Hammad informed us, on the authority of Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad, on the authority of Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abi Hurra, on the authority of his uncle, on the authority of Sinan bin Sunnah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “A grateful feeder is like a patient fasting person.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ الْأَسَدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَوْرٌ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَوْ شَرِبَ، قَالَ :" الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ، غَيْرَ مَكْفُورٍ، وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ، وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْ رَبِّنَا "
    Muhammad bin al-Qasim al-Asadi told us, Thawr told us, on the authority of Khalid bin Ma’dan, on the authority of Abu Umamah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was When he ate or drank, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: “Praise be to God, abundant praise, good and blessed, not rejected, not consigned to, nor indispensable to our Lord.” "
