أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" إِذَا قَامَ إِلَى التَّهَجُّدِ، يَشُوصُ فَاهُ بِالسِّوَاكِ "

Saeed bin Al-Rabi’ told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Husayn, he said: I heard Abu Wa’il, on the authority of Hudhayfah, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “When he stands for Tahajjud, he should cover his mouth with the siwak.”
