أَخْبَرَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :" لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ، وَلَا صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ "

Sahl bin Hammad told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Abu Al-Malih, on the authority of his father, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. And he said, “God does not accept a prayer without purification, nor alms from undeceived people.”
