Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #174

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ الرَّبِيعِ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ :" الْحَيْضُ عَشْرَةٌ، فَمَا زَادَ فَهِيَ مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ "، وقَالَ عَطَاءٌ : " الْحَيْضُ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ "
Muhammad ibn Yusuf told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Al-Rabi’, on the authority of Al-Hasan, he said: “There are ten menstrual periods, and anything more is considered to be menstruation,” and Ata’ said. “Menstruation is fifteen days.”
