أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ :" تَنْتَظِرُ النُّفَسَاءُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا أَوْ نَحْوَهَا "

Abu Al-Walid Al-Tayalisi told us, Abu Awanah told us, on the authority of Abu Bishr, on the authority of Yusuf bin Mahak, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him. About them, he said: “The postpartum woman waits forty days or so.”
