Suleiman bin Harb told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, on the authority of Thabit, on the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him: that the Jews used to menstruate when They did not eat the woman among them, nor did they drink it, and they took her out of the house, and she was not with them in the houses, so the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was asked And peace be upon him about that, so God Almighty revealed “And they ask you about menstruation.” Say, “It is an injury.” Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 222 # So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, commanded them. He granted “that they may eat with them, and that they may drink with them, and that they may be with them in the houses, and that they may do everything except sexual intercourse,” so the Jews said : This man does not want to abandon any of our affairs without disagreeing with us in it, so Abbad bin Bishr and Usayd bin Hudayr, may God be pleased with them, came to the Messenger of God. They told him about that, and said: O Messenger of God, shall we not marry them during menstruation? “Then the face of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, became so red that we thought he had found something on them, so they got up and went out, “A gift of milk.” Then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, sent to go after them and bring them back and give them drink. So we knew that he was not angry with them.
