أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ ، يَقُولُ : قَدِمَ عَقِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ الْبَصْرَةَ ، فَتَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ بَنِي جُشَمٍ، فَقَالُوا لَهُ : بِالرِّفَاءِ وَالْبَنِينَ، فَقَالَ : لَا تَقُولُوا ذَلِكَ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَانَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ، وَأَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَقُولَ :" بَارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ، وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ "

Muhammad ibn Kathir al-Abdi al-Basri informed us, Sufyan informed us, on the authority of Yunus, he said: I heard al-Hasan, saying: Aqeel ibn Ubai came. He sought Basra and married a woman from Banu Jashm. They told him: With prosperity and children. He said: Do not say that. Indeed, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace He, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade us from that, and commanded us to say: “May God bless you, and may God bless you.”
