Sunan al-Darimi – سنن الدارمي – Hadith #1550

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ سَأَلَتْ زَوْجَهَا الطَّلَاقَ مِنْ غَيْرِ بَأْسٍ، فَحَرَامٌ عَلَيْهَا رَائِحَةُ الْجَنَّةِ "
Muhammad bin Al-Fadl told us, Hammad bin Zaid told us, on the authority of Ayyub, on the authority of Abu Qalaba, on the authority of Abu Asma, on the authority of Thawban, he said: He said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace: “Any woman who asks her husband for a divorce without any reason, the scent of Paradise will be forbidden to her.”
