أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ : أَنَّ الْيَهُودَ جَاءُوا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ وَامْرَأَةٍ قَدْ زَنَيَا، فَقَالَ :" كَيْفَ تَفْعَلُونَ بِمَنْ زَنَى مِنْكُمْ؟ ".
قَالُوا : لَا نَجِدُ فِيهَا شَيْئًا، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَلَامٍ : كَذَبْتُمْ، فِي التَّوْرَاةِ الرَّجْمُ، فَأْتُوا بِالتَّوْرَاةِ فَاتْلُوهَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ فَجَاءُوا بِالتَّوْرَاةِ، فَوَضَعَ مِدْرَاسُهَا الَّذِي يَدْرُسُهَا مِنْهُمْ كَفَّهُ عَلَى آيَةِ الرَّجْمِ، فَقَالَ : مَا هَذِهِ؟ فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا ذَلِكَ قَالُوا : هِيَ آيَةُ الرَّجْمِ، " فَأَمَرَ بِهِمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَرُجِمَا قَرِيبًا مِنْ حَيْثُ تُوضَعُ الْجَنَائِزُ عِنْدَ الْمَسْجِدِ.
قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : فَرَأَيْتُ صَاحِبَهَا يُخْبِئُ عَلَيْهَا : يَقِيهَا الْحِجَارَةَ

Ahmad bin Abdullah told us, Zuhayr told us, Musa bin Uqba told us, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Umar: that the Jews came to The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saw a man and a woman among them who had committed adultery, and he said: “What do you do to those of you who committed adultery?”
They said: We do not find anything in it, so Abdullah bin Salam said to them: You lied. In the Torah there is stoning, so bring the Torah and recite it if you are. They were truthful, so they brought the Torah, and the one who taught it among them placed his hand on the verse of stoning, and said: What is this? When they saw that, they said: This is the sign of stoning. So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ordered them to be stoned near where the funerals were being placed. Abdullah said: I saw its owner hiding over it, protecting it with stones.
