Abu Al-Walid Al-Tayalisi told us, Hammad bin Salama told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Amr, on the authority of Abu Salama, on the authority of Al-Sharid, he said: I came to the Prophet May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, so I said: My mother has a slave, and I have a black Nubian slave girl. Should that be sufficient for her?
He said: “Pray by it.” He said: “Do you bear witness that there is no god but Allah?” She said: Yes.
He said: “Free her, for she is a believer.”
