أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَبَلَةُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" مَنْ غَزَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ لَا يَنْوِي فِي غَزَاتِهِ إِلَّا عِقَالًا، فَلَهُ مَا نَوَى "

Al-Hajjaj bin Minhal told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, Jablah bin Atiya told us, on the authority of Yahya bin Al-Walid bin Ubadah bin Al-Samit, on the authority of Ubadah ibn Al-Samit: That the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever fights in the cause of God and does not intend to fight Except for a camel, he gets what he intended.”
