أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" لَا تَتَمَنَّوْا لِقَاءَ الْعَدُوِّ، وَسَلُوا اللَّهَ الْعَافِيَةَ، فَإِنْ لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ، فَاثْبُتُوا، وَأَكْثِرُوا ذِكْرَ اللَّهِ، فَإِنْ أَجْلَبُوا وَضَجُّوا، فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالصَّمْتِ "

Abdullah bin Yazid told us, Abdul Rahman bin Ziyad told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Yazid, on the authority of Abdullah bin Amr: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Do not hope to meet the enemy, but ask God for well-being. If you meet them, stand firm and multiply.” Remembrance of God, but if they come and make noise, then you must remain silent.”
