أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " إِذَا ظَهَرَ عَلَى قَوْمٍأَحَبَّ أَنْ يُقِيمَ بِعَرْصَتِهِمْ ثَلَاثًا "

Al-Mu'alla bin Asad told us, Muadh bin Muadh told us, Sa'id bin Abi Orouba told us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Anas, on the authority of Abu Talha: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, “when he appeared over a people, he liked to stay with them three times.”
