حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : رُمِيَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ سَعْدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، فَقَطَعُوا أَبْجَلَهُ فَحَسَمَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالنَّارِ، فَانْتَفَخَتْ، يَدُهُ فَنَزَفَهُ فَحَسَمَهُ أُخْرَى، فَانْتَفَخَتْ يَدُهُ فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ قَالَ : اللَّهُمَّ لَا تُخْرِجْ نَفْسِي حَتَّى تُقِرَّ عَيْنِي مِنْ بَنِي قُرَيْظَةَ، فَاسْتَمْسَكَ عِرْقُهُ فَمَا قَطَرَ قَطْرَةً حَتَّى نَزَلُوا عَلَى حَكْمِ سَعْدٍ.
فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ، فَحَكَمَ أَنْ تُقْتَلَ رِجَالُهُمْ، وَتُسْتَحْيَا نِسَاؤُهُمْ وَذَرَارِيُّهُمْ لِيَسْتَعِينُ بِهِمُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" أَصَبْتَ حُكْمَ اللَّهِ فِيهِمْ ".
وَكَانُوا أَرْبَعَ مِائَةٍ، فَلَمَّا فُرِغَ مِنْ قَتْلِهِمُ، انْفَتَقَ عِرْقُهُ فَمَاتَ

Ahmad bin Abdullah narrated to us, Laith bin Saad narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Al-Zubayr, on the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah, that he said: He threw stones on the day The parties killed Saad bin Muadh, so they cut off his horn, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, destroyed it with fire. His hand swelled, and he bled, so he cut it with another. Then his hand swelled, and when he saw that, he said: Oh God, do not expel me until my eyes are comforted by the Banu Qurayzah. So he held his sweat and it did not drop a drop. Until they came down to the rule of Saad.
So he sent for him, and he decided that their men should be killed, and their women and children should be kept alive, so that the Muslims might seek help from them. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said May God bless him and grant him peace: “You have corrected the judgment of God regarding them.”
They were four hundred, and when he finished killing them, his veins ruptured and he died.
