Abdullah bin Maslamah told us, Suleiman told us, he is: Ibn Bilal, on the authority of Abdul Majeed bin Suhail bin Abdul Rahman, that He heard Saeed bin Al-Musayyab narrating that Abu Saeed Al-Khudri and Abu Hurairah had told him that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, had sent a brother of Banu Adi Al-Ansari used him against Khaybar, and brought some dates from Janib.
Ibn Maslamah said: meaning: good, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him: “Can Khaybar dates be eaten like this?”
He said: No, by God, O Messenger of God. We buy one saa’ for two saa’s from the crowd. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Do not do it, but Like for like, or sell this and buy for its price from this, and so is the balance.”
