أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ : أَنَّ أَبَا مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيَّ اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلَى عُمَرَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، فَلَمْ يُؤْذَنْ لَهُ، فَرَجَعَ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ :" إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَ الْمُسْتَأْذِنُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ : فَإِنْ أُذِنَ لَهُ وَإِلَّا، فَلْيَرْجِعْ "، فَقَالَ : لَتَأْتِيَنَّ بِمَنْ يَشْهَدُ مَعَكَ، أَوْ لَأَفْعَلَنَّ، وَلَأَفْعَلَنَّ.
قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : فَأَتَانَا وَأَنَا فِي قَوْمٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، وَهُوَ فَزِعٌ مِنْ وَعِيدِ عُمَرَ إِيَّاهُ، فَقَامَ عَلَيْنَا، فَقَالَ : أَنْشُدُ اللَّهَ مِنْكُمْ رَجُلًا سَمِعَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا شَهِدَ لِي بِهِ.
قَالَ : فَرَفَعْتُ رَأْسِي، فَقُلْتُ : أَخْبِرْهُ أَنِّي مَعَكَ عَلَى هَذَا.
وَقَالَ ذَاكَ آخَرُونَ، فَسُرِّيَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى

Abu Al-Numan told us, Yazid bin Zurayi told us, Dawud told us, on the authority of Abu Nadhrah, on the authority of Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri: that Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari asked permission to come to Omar three times, but he was not given permission, so he returned and said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: “When he asks for permission The one who asks for permission three times: If he is given permission, otherwise, let him return. Then he said: You will bring someone who will bear witness with you, or I will do it, and I will do it.
Abu Sa`id said: He came to us while I was among some of the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, in the mosque, and he was frightened by Omar’s threat to him. Then he stood up to us and said: I seek by God a man from among you who heard that from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, who will bear witness to it for me.
He said: So I raised my head and said: Tell him that I am with you on this.
Others said that, and it was narrated on the authority of Abu Musa.
