أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا النَّاسُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ فِي قُبَاءٍ إِذْ جَاءَهُمْ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَأُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ، وَأُمِرَ أَنْ يَسْتَقْبِلَ الْكَعْبَةَ، فَاسْتَقْبِلُوهَا، وَكَانَ وَجُهُ النَّاسِ إِلَى الشَّامِ ، فَاسْتَدَارُوا، فَوَجَّهُوا إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ "

Yahya bin Hassan told us, Sulayman bin Bilal told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Dinar, on the authority of Ibn Umar, he said: While the people are in prayer At dawn in Quba, a man came to them and said: “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, the Qur’an was revealed to him, and he was commanded to face The Kaaba, so they faced it, and the people’s faces were towards the Levant, so they turned around and faced towards the Kaaba.”
